A warm family welcome
We recommend that you stay at the Oceanis hotel on the seafront near the harbour in Tyros. It is a simple place with lovely views from all the rooms and Tasos and Roula the owners will do everything they can to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
The main coast road to the area was only completed in the late 1950s and before then travel was by mule over the mountains or by small boats into the harbour.
Tyros, our home
We have no large hotels or mass tourism here. People live simple lives picking their olives, oranges and carobs and looking after their animals.They make some extra income from a few rooms, a shop or a small hotel.
The view down from above the top village of Tyros to the Myrtoon Gulf. Tyros has three parts, up, middle and beach and on one day you can see them all.
The Tyros windmills stand above the harbour to catch the wind. The view to Spetses and beyond is amazing. This is just a 10 minute stroll from your hotel.
